What I/DD services does Empowered Services offer in Marion County?
Empowered Services is certified to provide authorized attendant care, relief care, behavior support plan implementation, on-the-job attendant care, day support activities, and community transportation. What is available for a person depends on the ISP, authorization, age, location, qualified staffing, schedule, fit, and agency capacity.
Who decides I/DD eligibility?
Marion County Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities determines eligibility. Call the county at 503-588-5288. Empowered Services can explain its service process but does not decide eligibility or authorize service hours.
Can I bring a caregiver I already trust?
Often, yes. A family member, friend, or other trusted person may be considered for employment as the paid DSP when services are authorized and the person meets hiring, background-check, and training requirements. This pathway is called Empowered Choice.
Who is on the Marion County care team?
Evy is the Care Manager for Marion and Polk Counties, and Kennedy is the Regional Care Manager for Portland Metro and North Oregon. Janette provides statewide Spanish-speaking support. The monitored care-team inbox helps route questions to the right person.
Is Spanish-speaking support available?
