Why it works
Support should follow the person — their goals, their pace, their life.
A caregiver who fits your life — matched through the Empowered Match Method™ on personality, home, and daily rhythm, not just the schedule.
A team that understands Oregon’s county-based system — and gets to know you by name.
Support in the language that feels like home — English or Spanish, statewide.
Answers whenever you need them — guides, events, and updates on the Oregon IDD Resource Hub.
Caregivers who are cared for too — a wellness culture that keeps the people supporting you steady and present.

Understanding eligibility and next steps.

Eligibility for Oregon IDD services is determined through the appropriate state or local process. Once eligible, a person may work with a CDDP Service Coordinator or Support Services Brokerage Personal Agent, depending on age, living setting, services, and individual choice. Empowered Services does not determine IDD eligibility or authorize service hours — we can answer questions about our attendant-care intake and help you understand what information we need to explore services with us.

The four-step process

Listen. Understand. Match. Walk with you.

See how matching works — the Empowered Match Method™ →
1
Listen

We learn communication, routines, goals, preferences, support needs, interests, and daily life before making any recommendation.

2
Understand

We look beyond eligibility — personality fit, family dynamics, safety, language, support style, and what success looks like for everyone.

3
Match

We identify caregivers who align with needs, goals, and communication style — not simply who's available first. Families stay active, including the Meet & Greet.

4
Ongoing
Walk with you

Matching doesn't end with placement. Your Care Coordinator stays close — checking in, adjusting support, and standing beside you as life and needs change, season after season.

Real life happens out in the world — we help make more of it possible.

Working together

We work with your case-management team.

Good attendant care depends on clear communication. With permission, Empowered Services works with the person, family, Service Coordinator or Personal Agent, and other approved team members to help attendant care stay aligned with the authorized plan.

Clear documentation

DSPs and the Empowered Care Team complete required documentation and report concerns so the appropriate team members can respond.

Planning-team participation

When invited, we share useful observations about routines, communication, safety, and how attendant care is working in everyday life.

Coordinated attendant care

We communicate with the Service Coordinator or Personal Agent about the attendant-care relationship, staffing, authorized support, and changes that may need attention.

From the families we serve

Trusted by Oregon families.

“The Empowered Services team has been wonderful to work with. Everyone has been professional and their customer service has been dynamic! I have enjoyed working with each person who has helped me — as I set up DSP services for our daughter.”
— Susan Bos · Google review
“Reliable, honest, and full of integrity. They are committed to and compassionate about the people they serve. I have experience both as the parent of a young adult with autism and as a DSP for my son — I truly feel like part of a wonderful family.”
— Londa Corcoran · Parent & DSP · Google review
“We moved to Empowered after other agencies treated people as a line item on a finance sheet. Empowered leads with love, compassion, and people first. Our coordinators respond rapidly, always follow up, and know the DDS laws — and if they don’t, they find out.”
— Karen Lang · Parent · Google review
