Why DSPs stay
“Likely the most fulfilling job you'll ever have.”

Teaching a new skill, riding the bus together, building independence — direct support is relational work that changes two lives at once.

Culture & core values

A team that supports its people and lives its values.

Direct support is demanding, relational work. We invest in paid training, real time off, peer connection, and local coordinators who know our DSPs as people — not just names on a schedule.

Wellness that’s built in

PTO, benefits for eligible employees, paid training, and support that helps DSPs do meaningful work well.

A team behind the work

Local coordinators and fellow DSPs are available to answer questions, solve problems, and help you grow.

Six values · one shared why

Every value ends in “y” because every value brings us back to why we do this work. They build on each other: Integrity grounds us. Empathy helps us understand. Community creates belonging. Synergy moves us together. Advocacy keeps each person’s voice at the center. Legacy is the difference that remains. We live all six as we make a difference every day.

01
Integrity

We do what is right for the people we support and for one another — even when no one is watching.

02
Empathy

We listen first, seek to understand, and meet each person with patience, respect, and genuine care.

03
Community

We create belonging — for customers, families, DSPs, and the local communities we share.

04
Synergy

We work as one team because customers, families, DSPs, and coordinators accomplish more together.

05
Advocacy

We speak up, protect choice, and keep each person’s voice at the center. This is why we do what we do.

06
Legacy

We turn everyday support into confidence, skills, and positive change that continues long after the moment.

What it’s like working here

Our values are not words on a wall. We live them in every conversation, every decision, every match, and every ordinary moment that helps someone move forward. That is how we make a difference every day.

Fast answers

What candidates ask first.

Do I need DSP experience?
No. Prior experience helps, but heart, reliability, willingness to learn, and paid training matter most.
Can I apply without choosing a role?
Yes — use DSP Interest if you're exploring, need a county or schedule match, or want recruiting to guide you.
What is the schedule like?
Schedules vary by customer, county, and authorization. Some roles are part-time, after-school, weekends, or full-time caregiver schedules.
What if I already know the customer?
Use the Empowered Choice path: Customer Intake, DSP Interest, and the official DSP application move together.
Is Spanish support available?
Yes. English and Spanish support are available — note your language preference on the interest form.
