Getting Ready for Your Child’s Move to Kindergarten from Early Childhood Special Education

The Financial Empowerment for Youth with Disabilities training series helps young people with disabilities and their families learn how to manage and make smart choices about money. We encourage youth and families to attend together. Participants will learn:
- Why it’s important for youth to make their own decisions about money.
- How to set goals, create budgets, and make plans to spend wisely.
- About bank accounts, digital wallets, and mobile payments.
- How to be safe with money.
- How credit – or borrowing money – works.
- How having a job can affect SSI/SSDI benefits.
- Financial and benefit counseling resources available to get more help.

What is Rent Well?
A tenant education class that helps renters understand their legal rights and responsibilities, connect to housing resources, and overcome barriers such as poor credit, evictions, or criminal history. Please click here to learn more.

The class is free.
Who Can Take This Class?
People in Clackamas County or nearby areas who are unhoused or unstably housed and who have low to moderate income.
We give registration priority to Clackamas County residents, but residents of nearby areas can also sign up. Residents of other counties in Oregon and SW Washington can visit the Rent Well website to check for available classes in their area.
What If I Don’t Speak English?
We can provide interpretation services if needed. The Rent Well e-course (see below) is currently available in English and Spanish.
